Isn't this just marked-up kinesiology tape?

No — Aerwell is designed specifically for overnight use on the mouth, with a breathable vent and a gentler adhesive than general-purpose kinesiology or medical tape. Compare for yourself; we'd rather you make an informed choice than take our word for it.

What if I choke, suffocate, or panic in my sleep?

Aerwell includes a vent and can be applied as a partial strip, so you can always breathe through the sides and remove it at any time. It's not a full seal. See our "Who Should NOT Use This" page for who should avoid it altogether.

I have a beard or sensitive skin — will it stick, and will it hurt to come off?

We recommend trimming facial hair where the tape sits and testing removal during the day before your first night's use. Full adhesive and material details are listed on each product page.

Is this a real fix or just a trend?

Nasal breathing during sleep has real physiological backing, and many people report less snoring, less dry mouth, and better sleep quality. We make no claim beyond that — see The Science page for specifics.

I have or might have sleep apnea — is this safe for me?

Talk to your doctor first. Aerwell is not a treatment for sleep apnea and is not a substitute for CPAP or other prescribed therapy.

What's in the adhesive?

We list the exact material on every product page and on packaging — no vague "skin-friendly" claims without detail.

I already tried nasal strips or a chin strap — why would this be different?

Those address nasal airflow or jaw position. Aerwell addresses the habit of the mouth falling open once you're asleep. Many people use them together.

What happens if I'm congested that night?

Skip it. Aerwell only works if you can breathe through your nose; on congested nights, wait until you can.

Is this meant to replace my CPAP or doctor's treatment?

No. If you have a prescribed treatment, keep using it. Aerwell is a complementary comfort and habit-training aid, not a medical device or a replacement for care.
